About TipSplit
MyTipSplit is a small set of everyday money-math tools: tip, split a bill equally, percentage, discount, and tip-with-tax. The product name in the UI is TipSplit. The public hostname is mytipsplit.com. We are not tipsplit.com — that domain belongs to someone else — and we are not the team-tip product at tipsplitapp.com.
Methodology
The calculators use ordinary arithmetic in this browser:
tip = bill × (percent / 100)
total = bill + optional tax + tip
per person = total / party size (equal shares; leftover cents on the last person)
grand with tax = subtotal + tax + tip, where the tip base is the subtotal (default) or subtotal + tax
discount save = original × (off percent / 100)
sale price = original − save
Amounts round to the nearest cent. Currency display is US dollars. You can type any number; we do not convert currencies and we do not know your timezone because none of this is a countdown.
What this is not
Not financial, tax, or etiquette advice. Tipping customs and sales-tax rates vary and change. Not a bill-splitting social app. Not affiliated with CubicTally, PacksLeft, LeanRank, DaysUntil, Splitwise, tipsplit.com, or tipsplitapp.com. DaysUntil lives on its own site and in its own repo — this is a different product.
